Hello friends,

Just wanted to let you know that a lot of changes are going on over here at Ashley Krogman Designs! That is the reason I have been MIA for quite some time this year. No worries, there are still “creative workings” in the process, behind the scenes :)

It was time for a “change up”, and for “re-focusing” to happen. I am very excited for all the new things happening in my life, and for the different direction and opportunities God has brought to my attention recently!

There will be an updated website in place of my blog, here very soon! Can’t wait to share!

Thank you for patience with all the changes, and I look forward to sharing some of my work again.

Jacci and Jake are such a fun and sweet couple. I felt so honored to be able to take their engagment photos. They are so perfect for each other, and it was such a joy to spend a few hours with them capturing this exciting time in their lives. Jacci had so many cute ideas that we were able to incorporate into the session. We shot this around Valentines day, so we added a couple touches of the holiday into the theme :)

My dear darling younger sister had her third precious baby (how does she have three little piglets already??!) this past December 2011. Eliza Lennox is my new baby niece (she is so delicious! :), so we thought we would take a few, cute shots of her when she was about 4 weeks old. Adeline and Ryder (big sis & bro to Eliza) got in on the action towards the end. I thought it would be fun to put a little face paint on all three of the darling babes :) Of course the oldest two loved it, and kept wanting to go “take a look” in the mirror during the little photo session. lol.

Precious little boy, Liam, was born on January 4th of this year. For his newborn shoot, his mother suggested we add a few New Year themed photos to the mix as well, what a great idea! Check out some of my favorite images from the shoot below.

This session was way fun, and extremely cute! My cousin, Holly’s adorable son, Mateo, likes to dress up in his “Clark Kent outfit (as you will see below :), so Holly thought it would be fun to take a few photos! My niece, Adeline, joined in on the fun as well (wearing a “Wonder Woman” t-shirt, of course, to go along with the theme :). The kids loved wearing their fake spectacles too, which was incredibly cute.

Precious little Audrey was born this past Decemember 2011 to my cousin, Kristen, and her husband, Marc. Audrey is their firstborn child, and they are head over heels for her (you can very much see the love they have in the photos below :)
What an exciting time in Marc and Kristen’s lives right now! I was so happy when they asked me to photograph Audrey a few days after she was born..what a little angel.

Just a little Easter fun! Hope everyone has a fantastic holiday. So thankful for Easter and all it means to me. Xo

Shaun and Jena wanted to celebrate their two year anniversary, as a couple, by doing a little “love” shoot. If you know Shaun and Jena, then you know that they are super “fun-loving” individuals with loads of personality! This shoot was so much fun, just like they are!! :) :)

I am reminded each time I have the privilege to post another shoot or design project on my little blog…of how thankful I am that people allow me to be a part of their lives, even if just for a few hours to snap some photos…it means so much to me. I love to learn something new with each project.

 Welcome 2012! For the first time (as long as I can remember), this new year felt extra special to me, and I felt more motivated in life than I have ever felt before, with the starting of a new year. I am not exactly sure what it was, but I was extremely excited about 2012, and all it has to offer. I look forward to developing and growing my little design business further, and seeing all the exciting projects that will happen this year! I also felt really motivated to focus on growing more personally in different areas of my life as an individual. 2011 was a good a year, not an easy one (many “ups” and “downs”), but I felt like 2011 dropped me off at a great place to start 2012, and for that, I am very thankful. It is such a refreshing and happy feeling going into the New Year with a positive and excited attitude. I learned a great deal (some through mistakes, of course and unfortunately…but I hear it happens to all of us! :) about myself, relationships, business, and life in general in 2011 (but I guess we are always learning in massive amounts in our twenties, right?), and I look forward to applying some of the things I learned last year, into this new year. On January 1^st of 2012, I decided that my “motto” or challenge for this year was to see how I can be a blessing to others, and how I can give to others this year, rather than always past thinking of: “What can I get out of this year, or what good things will come my way throughout the year.”  I am going to try to stick to the new mindset, to the best of my ability, throughout these next 12 months!  So cheers to 2012! May this be a great year for everyone, and may many blessings come to you.

Makenzie & Ryan are such a sweet (and gorgeous) couple. I had so much fun photographing them for my styled “New Years” couple’s party shoot. They were so fun, and patient, and Makenzie has the most beautiful hair! :) I love all the fun things you can do with a New Years themed session! So without further ado…Here goes 2012…
